
TAMA Doctors Art Exhibition Opened at Türkevi

New York, May 30, 2025 – The doctors’ art exhibition organized by the Turkish American Medical Association (TAMA) was inaugurated with a splendid ceremony at Türkevi. The opening reception was attended by a distinguished group of guests from the Turkish American community.
In his opening speech, TAMA President Dr. Eralp Bellibaş thanked the artists and participants, emphasizing that TAMA aims to be the voice of Turkish healthcare professionals. He stated that such artistic and cultural events are intended to strengthen the bonds within the Turkish community and contribute to building a strong Turkish diaspora in the United States.
The exhibition featured works by Dr. Nejat Kıyıcı, Dr. Sine Aras Akten, and Feride Demir, who holds a doctorate in Art History. Turkey’s New York Consul General, Ambassador Ahmet Yazal, expressed his delight at the active participation of Turkish doctors in the U.S. Ambassador Ahmet Yıldız, Turkey’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, shared memories of his involvement in the construction of Türkevi and expressed his satisfaction that the venue now hosts various activities of the Turkish community.
During the reception, guests were treated to select flavors of Turkish cuisine while admiring the artworks of the doctor-artists, which received great appreciation. The exhibition stood out as a significant event fostering the cultural and artistic unity of the Turkish American community.
